Saab started in Sweden in the year 1945, their first vehicle, the Saab 92 was introduced to the market in the year 1949. Their best-selling brand, Saab 900 was introduced after the company had merged with Scania-Vabis. In December 1949 Saab sold about 20,000 cars.
General Motors invested the sum of US$600 million which is worth 50% of the company’s value in 1989. Eleven years later, General Motors took over Saab Automobiles fully when they invested an addition of US$125million. This subjected Saab Automobiles to becoming a subsidiary of GM fully in the year 2000. The joint effort improved Saab cars to include more conventional door approach among others. In 2010, Spyker Cars, a Dutch Automobile company bought Saab Automobile from General Motors.
On the 13th of June 2012, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) was announced the new owners of Saab Automobile. NEVS confirmed their interest not to continue using Saab brand name for cars produced under the company after leading series of successful productions since September 2013.
Top Saab cars include the Saab 9-3 compact executive car, Saab 9-3X, Saab 9-5, Saab 9-4X and Saab 9-3 SportCombi.

Renault was established in the year 1899 by the Renaults; three brothers namely Marcel, Ferdinand and Louis. The automobile manufacturing company, Groupe Renault formally known as Société Renault Frères sold their first car, Renault Voiturette 1CV to a family friend on the 24th December 1898. Renault was purchasing their vehicle engines from De Dion-Bouton until 1903 when they started manufacturing engines on their own.
Renault’s first boom in the market was the production of Renault AG1 for the purpose of a taxi which was later used by the French Military during the World War I to transport troops. Between 1907 and 1908, they stood as the best-selling foreign vehicle in the United States while taking over a huge percentage of taxis in Paris and London. As of 1908, Renault had manufactured over 3,500 units to become France’s biggest car manufacturing company.
Renault’s headquarters is in Boulogne-Billancourt. As of 2015, Groupe Renault has assets of €90.6 billion with 19.73% of the company’s share owned by the French government. Currently, Daimler’s Mercedes (Class A and B) car engines are manufactured by Renault apart from other affiliations and subsidiaries owned by Renault.
The company has made waves in formula one and rallying race. Its current models include Alaskan, Captur, Clio IV and Duster Oroch.

Nissan Jidōsha Kabushiki-gaisha was founded on the 26th December 1933 by Masujiro Hashimoto, Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama, Meitaro Takeuchi, Yoshisuke Aikawa, and William R. Gorham. Nissan is known to be the 6th largest automobile company in the World currently owned by Renault (since 1999) as they hold 43.4% stake in the company. Their first cars were manufactured in 1935 when the Yokohama plant was completed producing trucks, engines and airplanes supplied to the Japanese military.
The production plant was moved to Manchuria after two years of production and this was when the company started assembling parts with the brand name, Nissan. Prince The Company’s profile got a boost when Prince Motor Company merged with Nissan Motor Company in 1966 merging their already selling brands. After Nissan had established a stunning gallery in Ginza, Tokyo they have also established a foreign expansion to showcase Datsun cars which were their very first products in the United States, Australia and the world at large.
Nissan Motor Company Ltd can be seen in with four different brand names which are Datsun, Nissan, Infiniti, and Nismo. The company’s recent top class vehicles include Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, Nissan Titan King Cab, and Nissan e-NV200 among others.

Mitsubishi Group of companies was founded in 1917 by Iwasaki Yatarō, the group is known as a group of autonomous Japanese multinational companies headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company is known to have three divisions serving as Bank (Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ), a trading company (Mitsubishi Corporation, and a manufacturing company (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries)
Mitsubishi automobile was introduced from the manufacturing company as the first company to produce automobiles in Japan, their first vehicle was completely built with hand, a sedan with seven seats, the design was quite expensive to its rivals from other parts of the world. 22 units of Mitsubishi first car were built and stopped in 1921 and the automobile unit was merged with the aircraft manufacturing division in 1934 and the company as at then was the largest privately owned company in Japan. A 4-wheel drive prototype (Mitsubishi PX33) was built by the company in 1937 to be used by the Japanese military and for passengers. This promoted production at Mitsubishi automobiles due to the success recorded by the prototype.
Nissan became the owners of Mitsubishi in May 2016 Mitsubishi’s after acquiring 34% of the Company’s stake. Mitsubishi top models include Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR, Mitsubishi Starion, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Mitsubishi Gallant VR-4.

Mini was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis in 1959 for British Motor Corporation (BMC). The car was produced as an economy car and has waxed from the produced year till 2000, a campaign was raised in 1999 for Mini to be awarded the most influential car in the 20th century but its competitor by Ford claimed the title, making Mini the second in that rank.
Mini car comes with different models such as the mini Mark I, Mark II, Mark III and an outstanding design like a jeep called Mini Moke. The first Mini car model was manufactured in England. Due to the success recorded by Mini, it’s also produced in Belgium, Italy, Malta, South Africa, Uruguay, Portugal, Chile, Spain and other countries where British Motor Corporation has production plants.
Mini car recorded first many times as rally cars within the 1960’s. The product keeps undergoing advancements ever since its production with some of the models dubbed Austin since it was marketed with Austin Morris license. As the models keep improving, the cost of production of Mini cars continued to climb, creating losses for the manufacturing company.
The last models were manufactured in the year 2000 when BMW bought the greater share of the company. The models include the Mini classic seven, the mini classic cooper and its sport.
