One of the “Big Three” American automobile manufacturers, FCA US LLC as it is called to reflect its merging with Fiat, also known as Fiat Chrysler or just simply Chrysler, sells various vehicles worldwide under their flagship brand Chrysler, as well as Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Trucks. Founded by Walter Chrysler, the company based in Michigan is a subsidiary of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., an Italian automobile manufacturer based in London, U.K. Similar to the other Big Three manufacturers, Chrysler was unfortunately hit by the automotive industry crisis back in the years 2008 to 2010 though quickly repaying its debts to the US government earlier by five years. Together with Fiat, Chrysler is currently being ran by Italian-Canadian executive Sergio Marchionne.

Despite being the 11th largest vehicle manufacturing company in the world according to the International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturer in 2012, Chrysler falls short on the customer satisfaction ratings since the 1990’s according to the Consumer Reports and JD Powers. Over the last decade, the company’s sales have also dropped radically, giving them their worst results ever.

True to the drop in their customer satisfaction, Chrysler has also poorly performed in the areas of reliability and quality, beginning from the 1990’s up until this decade. Despite its faults, Chrysler has always managed to rebound up from the downturns it had suffered from. Since 2014, the company has been running on the slogan “America’s Import”.
