Running the largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in the world, Hyundai is a multinational automotive manufacturer based in South Korea, established back in 1967 by Chung Ju-Yung from the original company he founded, which is the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company, in 1947. Together with its subsidiary, Kia Motors, Hyundai is part of the Hyundai Motor Group, which was considered back in 2012 as the fifth largest automaker in the world. Another one of its divisions is the Genesis Motors, the branch responsible for delivering their luxury cars. The company is also considered as the fourth largest vehicle manufacturer in the world.

Based on the company’s design philosophy called the Fluidic Sculpture, their cars’ designs are said to be deeply inspired from nature. Environmental awareness also factors in their production, developing flexible-fuel vehicles since 1988 with their first pure electrical car being produced back in 1991 as the Sonata Electric Vehicle. For better fuel economy, hybrid vehicles have also been marketed by the company, with global sales turning over 200 thousand hybrids, from both Hyundai Motors and Kia Motors, as of March 2014. For the future, the company aims in developing eco-friendly technologies that are also human-oriented.
